A new study out this week by Compete Inc. called Consumer Generated Content in Travel has found just how widely online travelers value peer reviews.

A massive 82% of online travelers prefer consumer reviews over a hotel’s own marketing content as an information source from which to make a purchase decision. Compete also estimates that consumer-generated content influences over $10 billion a year in online travel.

This is simply more validation of one of our fundamental beliefs here at VibeAgent - that your opinion matters, and that you deserve honest, intelligent feedback when making your hotel purchase decisions.

If you haven’t already done so, sign up and become a valued member of our community. I guarantee you’ll be glad you did.

    hotel purchase decisions?

Sounds like some load of corporate-speak nonsense. CGM? Well, that’s what we’re doing over at Holiday Pad except it’s published by a tightly knit group of us.
