September 24 2007: Four of us stayed at the Bristol during Comic Con weekend. So of course every hotel in town was packed and it was impossible to find anything inexpensive and close to the convention center. The Bristol seemed a fairly good value for the money though.
The hotel is in a great location within walking distance of the Convention Center, Gaslamp District and Little Italy. Street noise was pretty minimal. The bathroom was huge.
There is a computer with internet access in the lobby, which was handy. Staff seemed friendly and they held our luggage after we checked out. Parking was $22 a day. But at least it was convenient and we never had to use our car during the visit.
I would stay there again.
