July 27 2007: If you ever wind up in Charleston, you must stay at the Charleston Harbor Resort. The hotel is exceedingly well cared for and inside and out it's gorgeous. The staff is focused on making sure that your stay is trouble free and does as much as they can to make you feel welcome and relaxed. The rooms are spacious and the views from the harbor facing rooms are spectacular. The hotel is close to many fantastic restaurants and bars but should you desire to stay in the hotel has both a restaurant and bar as well as room service offerings. The hotel has a private beach and a seperate pool for those who want to spend time in the water. If you'd rather spend time on the links, there are over 20 golf courses in the area and the staff is happy to make arrangements for you. Because of the location of the hotel there are many tourist sites within a short distance of the property, and one can even spot the ships from the Naval Museum located just up the road. The hotel is also able to arrange water taxi service should you choose to travel in a more scenic manner.

Location. An alluring blend of seascapes and Southern charm, the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina in Charleston, S.C., is smoke free and offers a country style getaway in a distinctively urban setting. The resort is set on the shore of Patriots Point across the harbor from downtown Charleston, and water taxis are available to deliver guests to the historic downtown area. Hotel Features. The resort includes a full service marina and an 18 hole championship golf course that meanders along the Atlantic Coast. An international focus distinguishes The Grille menu, while favorite watering holes include the beachfront Tiki Bar and the Reel Bar, decorated with fishing reels from the 1920s and tournament memorabilia. The harbor side pool and private beach make ideal settings for oyster roasts and island style theme parties. With 459 slips, Charleston Harbor marina ranks as South Carolina's largest pleasure boat refuge. The hotel extends its concierge service to all marina guests. In return, the marina launches sailboat charters, romantic dinner cruises and fishing trips for land based guests.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms and suites at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina, some with private balconies or terraces, provide sweeping views of the water, city skyline and Historic Fort Sumter. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel.
Expert Tip. Patriots Point, home to one of the world's largest naval and maritime museums, is located a short stroll down the hotel's harbor side boardwalk.
