June 10 2008: I am not a fan of Miami however this made my visit most enjoyable. Gorgeous hotel. No complaints here but I do think it is rather pricey and I think for the price I would rather be lounging at a resort in the Caribbean or Europe. It is a scene - hip, trendy scene. Beautiful seductive rooms and super comfy beds. Very, very clean. Private beach. Great food and pool. The beach/pool has a little restaurant with tapas and fresh seafood. Nice staff and very helpful. The clientele is beautiful and a bit pretentious. Spa is located on the roof-top with incredible views. Great shopping close by. I don't see myself back in Miami anytime soon but if I had to go there for business or a wedding - than I would def stay here again. I would rec this hotel for singles and honeymooners.

I have no time or money to travel. My ideal vacation is visiting friends and crashing on their couch and eating their food. It just seems like home when you are with someone you love!!
I can ruff it in a remote or charming place, but generally, I like a "boutique" or highend hotel and destination. Unique and preferably comfortable would be how I would describe my travel preferences.
December 17 2007: We actually planned a business meeting for 50 at the hotel, which is not known for hosting business groups. Our group was rather conservative, but found the hotel inspiring and stimulating at every turn. The lobby becomes a night club at night and there are even cocktail table in the zero entry pool in the evening. We saw a few children there, but wouldn't choose to take our own. It is a fabulous hotel to choose if you want a getaway with friends, couples or your mate for an unexpected getaway. It feels like you are in another country and it is only a domestic flight away.

TI's top choice for design in Miami. Hotelier Ian Schrager's really went to town on innovative designs; public spaces of almost museum-like oddity but it's undeniably cool and still attracts big celebrity names.
