June 24 2007: The hotel is beautifully done (the entrance feels like a ski lodge with high beamed ceilings), but I found the atmosphere of the room a bit cold. It was simple and pristine with classic colors and but a little too dark (ie. not well lit...it was one of the green rooms - maybe the pink would be lighter). Loft rooms are a good idea and not a bad deal for a lot more space. For a night out at the Rose Bar it's great and you can reserve a table with the room. By now they have surely made menus for the roof terrace bar (fantastic with receding glass roof in summer), early on for hors d'oeuvres you had to ask for room service to the roof!
