This is the first review written about this hotelDecember 21 2007: I came to the De Moc Hotel with high hopes. We had  been planning the 2nd International Conference on Accessible Tourism since our first in Taipei in 2005. The Thai organizing team selected this hotel so, given the conference theme, it seemed like it out to be the best available.

Well, maybe it was but I couldn't stay. As the photo shows. The long "shotgun" style bathroom left no room for toilet or bathtub access.

The beds and bedroom setup was fine. The elevator although small was adequte for a standard manual wheelchair. The two i nch rise into the room at the door threshold was unecessary and almost impossible to negotiate independently.

Theoretically wireless access was avialble in the lobby. After much patient assistance from the staff they admitted that many people have difficulty connecting. They took me (reluctantly) down the three steps to the guest lobby where I hardwired in.

Staff was uniformly helpful and available. Well, except for the bell boy who stole my suit coat as I was checking out. It was never found. Odd since I strategically placed only my own busines cards in every pocket for just such an eventuality.

Date of stay: November 2007
Purpose of stay: Business

Too narrow for wheelchair access to toilet or bathtub
Comfortable but no Internet access in the room.
This works although the fridge is a little low.
One of two firm single beds at good wheelchair height.
