I love to travel, preferably without a backpack. A perfect day of travel includes museums, exploring new places on foot and ending the day with a nice place to stay.

June 11 2007: The Inn at Pelican Bay was a great value. For about $120/night, it was centrally located, clean and attractive. Our room was large, as was the bathroom. There was a complimentary breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel is not right on the beach, but a short drive or bike ride.

Location. The Inn at Pelican Bay is located in the Pelican Bay neighborhood of Naples, Fla. This Mediterranean style hotel is built on the edge of a private lake. The boutique property is within one mile of Florida and Gulf of Mexico beaches and Naples Trolley Tours.
Hotel Features. Renovated in 2006, the marble foyer is decorated with a overstuffed chairs, thick chairs and a gleaming chandelier. The inn serves complimentary continental breakfasts and the bar off the lobby offers cocktails. A business center features complimentary high speed Internet access while complimentary wireless Internet access is available in all public areas and complimentary newspapers are provided in the lobby. The smoke free property features a fitness center and an outdoor pool.
Guestrooms. Each of the 100 guestrooms features terry cloth robes, triple sheeting and refurbished baths. Flat screen televisions are provided. Rooms offer microwave ovens and refrigerators.
Expert Tip. Less than three miles from the hotel art, music and shopping flourish. The Philharmonic Center for the Arts provides orchestra shows, entertainment and a museum while luxury shopping and dining is located at Waterside Shops at Pelican Bay.
