Intercontinental Miami

The area requires a cab ride to good restaurants and with the ample conference space is clearly geared toward business clientele. The concierge will try to steer you toward some of Miami's better restaurants. Take their advice -- they push the cuisine over the experience, but they'll send you to SoBe if you ask. Coral Gables is about 15 minutes away and has a multitude of great eats.
All in all, I was on business so it wasn't my tab. I'd stay there again on business, but after years in NYC, I don't need the crowds of SoBe to get a 'South Florida' experience.
Date of stay: April 2007

The bathrooms are great and spacious, there's a great view of Miami in most rooms, and there's a nice work space (desk) if you're there on business.
There's parking out front for a little over $1 an hour (max 4 or 5 hours), otherwise the valet is $25 per day.
If you're looking for a cheap lunch, lob check out the cafe past Starbucks on the lower left across the lobby of the Chase bank.
Overall the stay was great.
