August 16 2007: This hotel is in the middle of a major overhaul. They are renovating all of the rooms updating from the late 80's to MODERN. Nice rooms are on the upper floors.I actually experienced both an upgraded and an old room. i think all rooms are suites...I had a one bedroom suite.
The old room was ok, for an economic hotel. it had several rooms, a kitchen with stove, tvs, small bathroom, etc.. I am glad they are upgrading!!
The modern upgraded suite was nice! Similar to high class hotels in which I stayed in major US cities like the W, Hilton, etc. The room has two flat screens, a large comfortable bed, fridge, large common room... I enjoyed the room and felt very comfortable doing work or chilling.
Hotel has a common bar (not a club)off the lobby, a restaurant in the basement, and good room service. The staff is helpful.
The hotel is in downtown, close to public transit, bars, and the city center. I walked the 15 or so blocks to the Stampede grounds.
