I love to travel, preferably without a backpack. A perfect day of travel includes museums, exploring new places on foot and ending the day with a nice place to stay.
June 8 2007: The John Rutledge House Inn is a charming B&B that is a real treat. The staff friendly and gracious and give helpful information about Charleston when asked. The rooms are beautifully decorated with antiques and fine fabrics, but not over-done or fussy. They are perfect. We enjoyed our breakfast every morning on a beautiful 'Charleston-style' porch overlooking Broad Street. The location is great- right in the historic district where we were able to walk to museums, restaurants and museums. I could not imagine a better place to stay to experience historic Charleston.
