I really appreciate a great hotel and am willing to pay (within reason). Typical split personality: family w/ 3 small kids and business exec road warrior. Hotel priorities are location, cleanliness, non smoking, peace and quiet, fitness center.
July 17 2007: Given that DIA is halfway to Nebraska, if you are leaving on an early flight out of Denver, you need to find a hotel at/near the airport. The closest ones are 6 MILES away on Tower Road, and there's a cluster of 6 or so of them. I think I might have stayed in all six by now (between business trips, quick ski trips, and a weekend getaway). I stayed at the La Quinta after a Sunday night Broncos game, arriving at midnight leaving at 5am. Very basic. Got the job done. Reliable 24 hour airport shuttle service.
