March 29 2008: Perhaps this hotel and I got off on the wrong foot, but should I ever be venturing back to Nottingham, I won't be staying here.It's "hip" and "cool" and whatnot, but my room was dank, looked onto a fire escape and had a non-user friendly layout. Not to mention, I have stayed in many hotels, and never before have I been so baffled by the hot & cold faucets in a bathroom. The mechanics of both the sink and the shower confounded me for long shivering and/or scalding minutes at a time.
The hotel's bar, while appropriately dark and moody, served no nibbles. Would it kill them to invest in some olives or peanuts?
