March 2 2008: The rooms are small but nice (small TV, minibar/refrigerator, microwave, no internet that I can remember), the beds are ok (not exceptionally comfortable, but certainly sleepable), and they have in-room bathrooms.
The staff was very helpful and an in-hotel restaurant/bar provided a great spot to relax after long days spent bouncing about London. The price was a tad bit steep, but I didn't expect much lower considering it's location and the current exchange rate situation.
The hotel is also located just few blocks from Paddington Station and the Underground - a definite plus for getting around London.

Hyde Park is located four blocks from this hotel, while Oxford Street shops are positioned one kilometre away. Hotel Features. A contemporary, marble floored lobby adjoins a bright, Mediterranean designed breakfast room. Breakfast service fees apply, and menus feature continental, English and vegetarian options. The Bar and Lounge is decorated with chocolate and gray leather sofas, chrome bar stools and inlaid wood coffee tables. Two televisions broadcast news and sports channels. Function facilities accommodate up to 15 people. The reception desk is attended 24 hours a day, and staff offer fax and photocopy services, and arrange dry cleaning. A concierge assists with sightseeing itineraries and reservations.
Guestrooms. The Norfolk Plaza Hotel offers 87 guestrooms decorated in pastel shades and natural wood furnishings. Beds feature hexagonal headboards constructed of pine. Rooms include coffeemakers. Private bathrooms feature floor to ceiling gray and white tiles, and frosted glass lamps.
