Very classy hotel. The staff went out of their way to know your name and great you by name every day. Concierge service was one of the best I have dealt with. They were more then willing to basically do whatever was asked of them. There are two parts to the hotel, the guest areas and the conference center. The conference center was right on a large canal. The hotel was immaculate but the room was kind of small. You are within walking distance of most of the sights and if walking was not your general mode of transportation, the trolley service was close by and on time every time. There were numerous cafes along the canals and when you sat down to eat; they basically would let you sit there all day if you wanted. The people of the Netherlands are very nice; everyone I met could speak at least three languages and would go out of their way to have a conversation with you. Amsterdam is one place everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime.
