Renaissance Vancouver Hotel Harb...

It’s just got that plush feel about it from the dark marble to the soft lights. I really like the bar and lounge area with its floor to ceiling glass windows to view the harbor, plus the terrace just outside when it’s nice weather.
The rooms are tastefully furnished with an upscale look & feel, and are so comfortable and quiet, I was always assured of a good nights sleep. The window views on the upper floors are spectacular, and depending on the direction your room faces, you’re afforded views across the water to Stanley Park, North Vancouver, Grouse Mountain, or the city of Vancouver itself.
The only downside, is that eventually these views will be replaced by those of the buildings being constructed between this hotel and the water. Most unfortunate.
The Renaissance is located downtown, on West Hastings Street, a block from the water. It’s convenient to numerous corporate offices, as well as to the float plane dock or heli-jet port for a quick run over to Victoria, on Vancouver Island.
The marina is only a stones throw away as are walks among the gorgeous garden and park areas along the sea-wall. Stanley Park and a day of leisurely walking through the woods, the park areas, or around the perimeter is just over the bridge. You can drive it as well, but take time for at least a short walk.
The city has more shopping than anyone can possibly have time for. There are shops of all types everywhere, not to mention the multi-block Pacific Centre Mall. Gastown is just a couple blocks away, and the famous Robson Street with all its shops and eateries, is likewise an easy walk.
Speaking of food, there’s no shortage of great places to eat, either a brisk walk away, or a quick cab ride. If time is short, the restaurants on-site aren’t bad either.
