This is the first review written about this hotelMay 14 2008: If you're in town to see the Pirates, you couldn't pick a better spot: It's literally right behind PNC Park. Watch out for pop fouls. If you're in Pittspurgh for an event at the Convention Center, it's a ten minute walk across the river, via the Roberto Clemente bridge (voted most beautiful iron bridge of 1928, according to the plaque at the south end). Downtown Pittsburgh is fairly pedestrian-friendly, and many sights, including the Incline (funicular) are within a few minutes' walk of this comfortable business hotel.

The kids I was with enjoyed the all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet with the DIY waffle irons, and the pool/whirlpool, although tiny and lacking either shower or changing room, was adequate for a morning dip.

Our suite, which had a double bed and a fold-out sofa bed, comfortably accomodated two adults and two kids for $169. The tax and $18/day parking fee brought the total to about $200/night - very acceptable considering the convenience.

Date of stay: May 2008
Purpose of stay: Leisure (With Kids)
