Strong solution for business traveler
with family in tow
Modern, Quiet, Business People, Families, Tourists
August 26 2007: When my business travel takes me to an interesting city, I'll often bring my family. On such trips I'm looking for a hotel that will place me close to conference centers and commerce, while giving my family easy access to sightseeing and shopping. We favor hotels that offer nice "junior suite" options (wife and I in master bedroom, our young kids in foldout in sitting room.).
The Bullfinch Hotel was one of our better finds for this type of travel. The minisuite was modern, bright, and clean, though there was not a full privacy wall between the parents / kids area. The location was great-- walking distance to Faneuil Hall etc-- and a Whole Foods too. The staff was very friendly, though sadly not particularly knowledgeable about the neighborhood or city.
Overall, despite minor drawbacks, I think the location and price combination is hard to beat for a family looking for Boston city digs. (You'd pay considerably more in the Back Bay.)
