Love to travel and explore new places. My favorite are tropical or warm weather destinations (hate the cold). Also love to go where the locals go and find hidden treasures. Love finding great restaurants, New York City and broadway shows.
June 27 2008: The best thing I can say about this hotel was that the location was good. No bang for the buck--no frills--dark, dreary and tiny room. Overpriced. It was a few years ago around Christmas time when we stayed--we were seriously underwhelmed. Maybe it's gotten better....

September 18 2007: This is a fantistic boutique style hotel in midtown Manhattan. The styling is very periodic evoking the '20's and '30's New York. The location is excellent on 44th st just off 5th Av. As a consequence Grand Central Terminal is not more than 5 minute walk east with Times Square being a 5 minute walk west. Both locations giving easy access to the subway system. Fantastic views can be seen of the soaring Empire State buliding as soon as you round the corner onto 5th Av.
The rooms were pleasantly styled and comfortable, if not a little small, but for the price were very decent. The only negative I had about the room was the insainly loud air con unit built into the window, plus the only view was of the fire escapes of the neighbouring buildings.
The hotel bar was very good and featured live jazz most nights of the week, making it an idealspot to grab a quick cocktail before you went out.
Above all this is a great hotel with a supurb location at a decent price for NYC.

April 24 2008: My boss travels to New York quite frequently and the Mansfield Hotel is always her first choice of accomodations. She loves the boutique feel. Additionally, its important to her that she can count on a clean, elegant room with helpful and polite staff.

April 10 2008: I booked this hotel for my supervisor. She's always enjoyed her stay at this hotel. She liked the food, location and the quiet neighborhood. The rooms are small, but it's her favorite Manhattan hotel so size didn't matter. The only real negative is that I faxed a corporate card authorization for billing and they billed the entire stay to her personal credit card. Their Acct'g dept did not return calls as promised, but a very nice clerk in Reservations promptly fixed the error. She even called back to make sure that I was satisfied and took the opportunity to apologize again. My understanding is that the fax number provided to me for the cc auth went to the front desk and not the reservations area.
