My favorite place in Vegas
Hip, Lively, Stylish, Gambling, Nightlife, Singles, Clubbers, Not For Families
May 3 2008: Everything you've probably ever read about The Palms is true. It's one of the most energized spots in Vegas, which is saying a lot, and it is consistently packed with beautiful people. However, it manages to avoid the pretense you find at other Vegas hotspots, and it's surprisingly affordable. It's location isn't perfect, being that it's a few blocks away from the Strip, but a 10-minute walk or a $7 cab ride and you're right there. All things considered, this is probably my single favorite hotel in Sin City.

I'm Not Cool Enough To Stay Here

This is the first review written about this hotelNovember 24 2007: Even on a Wednesday night in the middle of the summer, the Palms casino was packed with beautiful people. The casino is comfortable, but busy. The center bar is fun for people watching, and drinking some booze.

Most of the restaurants are above average highlighted by Little Buddha and lowlights include anything in the food court.

The rooms in the Fantasy Tower are outstanding. Huge modern bathroom, and a big living area with a flat screen TV. Nice.

The Palms is know for its nightclubs. Ghost bar takes you high above Vegas with a giant outdoor party deck providing one of the best views of the city. The Playboy Club is fun, but way too expensive. If you want to see hired women with plastic parts hang out at one of the casino bars and you'll see a ton of them.

Because the Palms is located away from the Strip it caters to locals. Which isn't bad, but many locals tend to be grumpy. Especially the donkeys who hang out in the poker room playing $2/$4 limit.

This is a fun place to check out even if you don't stay here. The owners of the Palms also owns the Sacramento Kings and have a lot of Hollywood ties. It's not unusual to see a movie star or pro athlete hanging out here.
