FROM

When we arrived, the hotel upgraded us from a garden view to ocean front room - which was amazing. Def the way to go if you are going to stay here but then again the garden views were pretty sweet, too. We left the french doors open each night and fell asleep to the sounds of the ocean, which was so peaceful.
The bed was super comfy and they use frette linens and the rooms are beautifully decorated with soft colors that make the room more tranquil and relaxing. The bathroom was very clean, Bulgari products and new Waterworks fixtures but the water pressure was not great.
The gym was great, equipment new and clean with the most incredible view of the ocean and bluffs. Complimentary water bottles in your room and at the gym. I am not a gym person at all and prefer the outdoors but the view here makes you want to hop onto the treadmill and burn some calories. The view will inspire you to stay on your elliptical a little longer :)
For foodies -The food was very disappointing for us - both thru room service and at the restaurants so I would rec going out to town for dining. There are some great places to eat in Laguna and nearby Dana Point. They offer a seafood brunch on the weekends which I think is over priced and you can have better seafood elsewhere.
The hotel is situated on the bluff so the views and sunsets are breathtaking. There are trails for walking and running along the ocean and a really nice golf course.
We rented bikes and cruised the hood. I walked the trails every morning and it was pretty easy hike. When you are here you want to be outside. The pool was quiet and has a small bar so you can sip your mojitos poolside.
The spa was nice but not very big, I have been to nicer spas however my treatment was pretty great and worth every penny. The spa has a cute little boutique to buy apothecary products, work out clothes and lingerie etc so that was nice for any last minute items needed that you may have forgot to bring along.
Valet parking is steep but expectable at this hotel. They charge 30 a night and there is a resort fee of 20 plus dollars that includes internet, newspaper and use of the gym.
They were gracious with early check in and late check out.
I def rec this place for a romantic getaway, honeymoon or a little weekend away with the gals for the local shopping and spa. Laguna has some of the best art galleries so if you are into art or looking to add to your collection - check out the little town.
