Always loved this hotel
Classic
May 17 2008: I've been coming here since I was little and have always loved everything about it. It's traditional old world New York City.  The rooms are a little dated--but that's ok.  It's a great location and the service has always been good.  I've never been disappointed.  Not as expensive as the Four Seasons and St. Regis

February 6 2008: I was due to fly out from JFK to Seattle and, due to an untimely Nor'easter, was forced to delay my departure by a day. Rather than lug all of my belongings back across the Hudson to New Jersey, I decided to book a last minute room at a hotel in Manhattan and make a night of it. What better place than the Waldorf?

The room I had was decent sized, especially by Manhattan standards. It featured a queen sized bed, a desk, a table with two chairs, and more than enough room to move in between all of them without bumping into furniture.  While there, I scheduled a masage and enjoyed the onsite spa which had a courteous and professional staff.

My only regret is that I didn't spend more time enjoying the facilities in the hotel. Walking through the lobby of the Waldorf is enough to send you back in time to a sophisticated, more genteel and elegant version of New York.

Great service
February 6 2008: I just got back from the Waldorf and they could not have been nicer.  I don't really love a big hotel, but I got a great rate for the NY Gift Show that I was attending.

This was the first time I was traveling with my new baby (2 months) and I was a little nervous.  They anticipated my needs and were so helpful.  At first they didn't have my reservation for connecting rooms or a crib.  This was quickly resolved and I was put into a large king bed room that connected to a double.  We were more than happy.

Great location for walking to sites and fun restaurants.  We didn't have to bother with the carseat and taxis!

The staff, from housekeeping to the restaurants, were so kind and always willing to lend a helping hand with my little one.  They made us feel right at home.
