Nothing Special in Downtown Denver
Downtown, Modern, Quiet, Business People, Events & Meetings, Tourists
This is the first review written about this hotelFebruary 10 2008: I stayed at the Westin Tabor Center for a business trip to Denver.  This hotel was fine- fairly clean, staff was friendly and it was in a central location for all of my meetings (which were downtown).  There was just nothing special about it.

The ambiance was modern and sleek - but nothing totally wacky- it was modern in a safe and conservative way.  My room was large with plenty of room.  One wall was a bay window looking out to Downtown which was cool.  The bed was comfortable - linens were ok, but the duvet which was a white pinstripe was a cheap, synthetic material that felt like it could give you a rash if you touched it for too long.  I'm not sure they wash after every guest, as I noticed some dirt on it.  Yuk.  Other than that, the room was clean.

My bathroom was fine, but was starting to show some age.  It didn't feel very crisp.  There was a vent in the shower that was totally clogged with dust and that was not a welcome sight.  They will need to remodel in a few years.

My room connected with the room next door and although the door was locked, I could hear everything they were saying and what they were watching on T.V.   If I stay here again, I will request a room that in not connecting.

I had breakfast at the hotel one morning and chose the buffet.  It was pretty nasty.  I would avoid it.

In summary, this hotel was fine, but for the money (I paid about $250/night,) I'd rather stay in a boutique hotel with more personality.
