I grew up in South Florida, so I love the beach and any tropical island. I enjoy traveling and I've been to Alaska, Greek Islands, Thailand, South America and all over Europe.
June 19 2007: Ok, I will admit it. I actually stayed at the Tropicana in 2005 during a business trip to AC. After switching rooms twice, I still ended up in a smoke filled, walls peeling, I can't believe I'm paying to sleep here dive of a room. Let's just say the friend who recommended the hotel based on a family connection shall remain nameless. I still love the guy, but we should have stayed at the Borgata.

December 3 2007: Of all the Casino/Hotels to stay at in AC, the Tropican offers the best atmosphere for entertainement/restaurants. If you are going to stay here, make sure you ask to be put up in the New Tower (recently built a couple years back), as the old rooms are out of date and are not very comfortable.

Location. The Tropicana Casino & Resort is located in Atlantic City, N.J., one half mile from Ocean One Pier and Ripley's Believe It Or Not. The Garden Pier Art Center is two miles from the hotel. The Absecon Lighthouse is three miles away. Gardner's Basin Maritime Park is within four miles. Hotel Features. The Tropicana Casino & Resort features 21 restaurants. Cuba Libre is a 1940s Havana style restaurant with antique mahogany and oak bars. Ri Ra is an Irish pub style eatery. The hotel includes a Starbucks Coffee shop. More than 47,000 square feet of meeting and event space is available. Business services are available. The hotel includes a fitness center with cardiovascular and weight training equipment. The hotel features indoor and outdoor pools. The Salon at Tropicana offers facials, manicures and saunas. Bluemercury Apothecary Spa offers treatments using amenities, including Kiehl's, Molton Brown, NARS and Acqua di Parma. Treatments at the spa include stress reducing mineral bath and aromatherapy massages, hot stone massages and replenishing gingerlily indulgences. This New Jersey hotel features on site shops including Swarovski and Brooks Brothers.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms at the Tropicana Casino & Resort are equipped with cable television. Some guestrooms provide views of the Boardwalk or the ocean. Refrigerators are provided upon request. Video game consoles are available.
Expert Tip. The Tropicana Casino & Resort features live entertainment at the on site Tango's Lounge where live music and karaoke is performed. Resort Fees: Resort fees are determined by the hotel and are subject to change.
