I run a food service company in the greater Chicago area. What I really love is travelling, anywhere, anytime. If it involves a plane, train, hotel or rental car, I'm there.
August 17 2007: I stayed her twice, once with two friends in the "private" tower and once with a friend in the regular towers. First, the "private" tower has the same rooms as the rest of the hotel. The difference is that you need a key to a room in that tower to get in. It is located off of the lobby, whichis much further from the casino and the shops. It does have it's own smaller, but beautiful pool. They have bar and meal service at the pool, which is flanked at one end by the wedding chapel and the other by a French restaraunt. I actually thought it felt very nice and exclusive. Back to the basics...all of the rooms are considered suites. This generally means that the bedroom and livingroom are on two levels divided by a few stairs and a railing. The shopping mall area included a canal with gondola's and outdoor eateries, which are actually inside, but the whole area has an illusion of being outside, which is actually very cool. There is also and art musuem and wax museum which I have never visited, but I have visited the Sephora right next door. The Sephora is the best view of the volcano exploding across the street, plus you can purchase every type of makeup ever made. Okay, basically I love the Venetian.

I have no time or money to travel. My ideal vacation is visiting friends and crashing on their couch and eating their food. It just seems like home when you are with someone you love!!
April 22 2008: My only choice when in Vegas. Suite Life. rooms are spacious, everything is clean, staff are wonderful. Only complaint is not enough sun at the pool!!

May 23 2008: I've stayed at the Venetian many times. It's a great luxury hotel, has a great (and huge) casino, some excellent dining options, and has good shopping both within the resort and nearby. Rooms are fantastic; pool is not quite what you would expect from a top-end resort in Vegas. Overall, highly recommended!

Also on the property are the Guggenheim-Hermitage Museum; a shopping arcade (complete with a replica Grand Canal plied by gondolas - don't you just love Vegas?); reproductions of Venetian landmarks; and branches of the famous Canyon Ranch SpaClub and Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum.
