Great find in the heart of Manhattan
Downtown, Hip, Modern, Stylish, Shopping, Museums, Sightseeing, Nightlife
November 28 2007: So I realize that the location is not nearly as trendy as Union Sq., Soho or anywhere downtown but again it was convenient and had the added benefit of being able to use points (Amex rewards ones specifically). Anyways in spite of its touristy location the hotel does a great job of making you feel like you have your own little sanctuary in the heart of midtown. Well appointed and maintained. Would definitely stay there again.

Great Hotel, With Killer Top Floor
Luxurious, Modern, Lively, Stylish, Museums, Sightseeing, Nightlife, Business People, Singles
This is the first review written about this hotelSeptember 6 2007: As you would expect, the rates are pretty high at this ideally located Westin right near Times Square in NY city.  The best thing about the hotel is if you are there on a day when it is not crazy busy ... to try and get a room on the top floor.  Most of the rooms there have decent views, and a massage chair in the room.  Otherwise, you can't really go wrong with this location and comfort - if you can find a way to afford it.

Nice weekend get-away
Downtown, Modern, Stylish
February 19 2008: Overall, I was very impressed with this hotel.  I chose this location because it was my mom's first trip to NYC and I wanted her to be in the "heart" of everything.  This ended up working well for our brief, two-night stay.

For New York, the size of the room was comfortable and was nicely appointed.  We had a large flat screen TV and an alarm clock with an iPod docking station.  The bathroom was nice, but there was very little counter space... a big problem when traveling with more than one woman!

Probably the nicest thing about this hotel was how incredibly soundproof it appeared to be.  The hotel itself was sold out both nights we were there but we never heard anyone in the rooms surrounding us.  Also, we never had to wait more than a minute for an elevator - a problem that is often a pet peeve of mine in larger hotels.

The staff was great and very accommodating.  I would definitely stay there again.
