June 10 2007: For the money you can't beat this place. It's as beautiful as a resort in Hawaii, but in the desert surrounted by the clearest warmest water full of colorfull fish and coral. Sharm has some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving in the world. It's not far from where Moses brought down the ten commandments at St. Katherine's Monastery.
The Hyatt recently opened a newer section of the hotel called the Regency Hyatt. It has its own pool and beach and I recommend staying there. It has a bit more privacy.
Things run a bit slower in this hotel. There is a Souk where you can find a lot of different kinds of food that operate under a point system. It's pretty fun.

Location. The Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh Resort is located in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, adjacent to Na'ama Bay and facing the prime diving site The Gardens. The airport is 10 kilometres from the hotel. Hotel Features. The luxury seafront resort includes a fitness and spa centre, tennis, squash and basketball courts, and a water sports centre, for activities such as scuba diving in the Red Sea. There is a pool complex on site featuring cascades, a river, a slide, and whirlpools. A souk style arcade provides authentic shopping experience for guests.
The Hyatt Regency resort includes four restaurants serving Mediterranean, Thai, international, and grilled dishes. The Souk Hyatt offers various restaurants providing Middle East cooking, accompanied by traditional music and dance. The resort also includes the Azure Lounge with a sun terrace, the Star Music Bar for evening entertainment, and a poolside bar.
The resort offers seven venues for private or business meetings.
Hyatt Regency resort includes the Oasis Kids' Club with children's pool, toy room, and supervised learning and recreational activities. The nearest golf course is in Sharm el Sheikh.
Guestrooms. The 439 air conditioned guestrooms have balconies or terraces with sea view. The rooms are of southern Mediterranean design with working areas and high speed Internet connections. Beds feature soft Egyptian cotton linen, and the marbled bathrooms have baths, walk in showers, and deluxe toiletries with Dead Sea minerals. Bathrobes and slippers are provided, and all guestrooms are equipped with multi line telephones, and televisions with 25 inch screens. Further amenities include ceiling fans and safes. Expert Tip. Ras Mohamed National Park, 50 kilometres away, is home to coral reefs showcasing unique beauty and wildlife. They are part of an elevated promontory, which emerged after a coastal change over 70000 years ago.
