I run a food service company in the greater Chicago area. What I really love is travelling, anywhere, anytime. If it involves a plane, train, hotel or rental car, I'm there.
August 17 2007: I stayed here with a friend on the way home from Spain. After returning the cars to the airport we used the service in the airport to find this hotel for the night, as we were flying out in the morning. It is a beautiful hotel, but very inconvenient for your last night in Madrid, if you plan on going into the city. The cab ride into the city was about 45 minutes, which isn't so bad, though our driver on the way back to the hotel didn't know where is was and we navigated back by the skyline I saw through our hotel window and my friend translating into Spanish. They had a prompt wake up call and a free shuttle to the airport, which I needed at 5:30 a.m. Also, nice price for the last minute.

The Tryp Diana hotel has been especially designed for business people and is located close to the Madrid-Barajas airport, the IFEMA fairground and well-connected with the center of Madrid by the ring roads M-30 and M-40. The hotel offers a wide variety of culinary options such as the Duque de Osuna restaurant, El Pato Mudo restaurant specialized in rice dishes, a cafeteria and an Andalusian Tavern. Other amenities include the Diana piano bar, a disco, an outdoor swimming pool, 4 modular meetings rooms with a capacity for up to 250 people, banqueting service, a shopping arcade and a hairdresser.
