We were in our room when the maid was coming aroun, which prompted a phone call from the receptionist. He asked us if we wanted our room cleaned, to which I replied "No, thank you. Not today."
I was going to the bathroom when my money fell out of my pocket and landed on the bathroom floor. I don't know why I didn't pick it up straight away but I figured I'd grab it before I left anyways.
On our way out, the receptionist asked again, "Are you sure you don't want fresh towels or your garbages emptied?" We told him no. We were fine!
About 10 steps out the door and I go "CRAP, I forgot my money on the bathroom floor." It was 80 euros, but we figured that since nobody was going to be in our room, it would be fine.
It wasn't fine. The maid ignored instructions from the receptionist and entered our room, gave us fresh towels and emptied the garbages. Coincidently, my money also vanished from the bathroom floor.
Of course, we get the whole "We've never had a problem with this maid before. We get money returned all the time" speech, and we were also told that the manager was on vacation. While the receptionist did everything in his power to help the situation, the fact of the matter is that the bitch stole my money and got away with it.
I would not recommend staying here unless you want personal belongings to go missing.
Aside from that, the room was quite small but the air conditioning was nice. The bathtub was large but there was no holder for the showerhead so you had to hold it yourself. There was also no shower curtain. The ceiling in the bathroom was a really weird material with gaps in between so you could see dusty ceiling crap.
One receptionist was quite nice and another was not so nice.
This hotel was in a great location. The breakfast buffet was delicious.

Tilsett Etoile was concealed in street densely packed with other hotels - the lobby was stylish and comfortable with a bar, and there was a small garden in the back visitors could use (no seating however).
Roomwise, comfortable but not overly spacious. In this pricey area of Paris, it seemed every inch had to be used carefully! Our room overlooked a courtyard which did mean it was fairly peaceful at night although not the most inspiring view.
Other amenities: it may have just been our bathroom, but the toilet was positioned very awkwardly (designed for small children perhaps), and the shower didn't have a holdall against the wall so you were required to manually hold it if you wished to wash. The room did come with a flat-screen TV which was a nice bonus.
We managed to snap up an online deal where breakfast was included in the price. It normally costs €12 which isn't too bad - a nice buffet with plenty of choice to fuel you up for the day.
Our stay was slightly marred on the last day with €80 of my girlfriend's money going missing from our bathroom. The front-desk staff were helpful but it's unlikely the money will be returned! I wouldn't let the missing-money put you off however.
To summarise, a good hotel, but nothing overly special. For the same price, you'll likely find a better bargain a bit further out from the centre.
