On the internet I found prices as high as 160£ and as low as 90£ for the same date and room standard.
The location is perhaps not the greatest if you like to be able to walk (short distances) from site to site, as it is about a 45min walk to, for example, the Eiffel Tower. There is however, just down the street, both a train- and metro-station, which we took advantage of to get around in the city.
As for the room; it was small, but not as small as I had feared hearing stories about tiny closet sized rooms in Paris, and it was clean and tidy. There was no noise from neighboring rooms, which I know had people staying in them. The windows can’t be opened, but the AC did the job keeping the room nicely chilled. However, it was not the warmest weather, (around 20 degrees Celsius), and I suspect the AC won’t do the trick on the hotter days in Paris.
The staff was friendly, helpful and English-speaking. They helped us finding addresses for museums and how to get there.
We did not take advantage of the hotel restaurant, and it is worth to mention that there are not many restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
I would stay here again if travelling on business, or for a long weekend with planned in advance sightseeing excursions.
