Budget, Downtown
November 18 2007: Sometimes you find yourself looking for an affordable hotel in a city you've never visited. I got a referral for this modest hotel in the Left Bank. You can't beat the price, the continental breakfast, the location within walking distance of the Musee d'Orsay and Eifel Tower. Since I first visited in 1999, I've returned twice to the same hotel. I understand it has recently been remodeled.
Date of stay: March 2004

The Palais Bourbon hotel is located right in the centre of Paris, in a historical and quiet district, near the Invalides museum, Napoleon's grave and the Rodin museum. A nice little walk across one of the numerous bridges will take you in few minutes to the Orsay museum, Place de la Concorde, the Champs Elysées, the Eiffel Tower, and Saint Germain des Prés. The service is excellent and the staff is always ready to provide guests with useful information and assistance. This fully air-conditioned hotel offers nicely-appointed rooms and public areas. Among the on-site amenities guests will enjoy an Internet Point, shuttle service (on request) and 2 meeting rooms hosting up to 10 attendees each.
