Montana Hotel

The hotel is very conveniently located right off Kensington High Street, and a block from the Gloucester road tube stop on three different lines, which is four stops from Paddington (connects directly to Heathrow Express) and only two stops from Victoria (connects directly to Gatwick Express).

The room itself was quiet, but very basic.  When i called the front desk to a) unclog my bathtub, and b) send up an iron and board, they responded right away both times. There was a coffee pot, but no other real amenities in the room (hair dryer, heat lamp, mini-bar, for example).

The room was clean and the bed and pillows were ok.  The bed linens were pretty grandma.  The common lobby was very forgettable, and could use with some updating.  I wouldn't stay here personally, but this was a business trip and we were saving money.  The rate was very reasonable compared to the other options.  I did shorten my stay and checked into my favorite London pad, the Colonnade, the second night on my own dime. Man I love that place.

You should feel comfortable staying here if you are on a budget and aren't planning on spending much time in your room - otherwise go somewhere else.
