Mercure Simson Beach Saint-Martin

July 15 2007: We have stayed here for the past few years when going to St. Martin and we love this hotel.  It is on a small beautiful beach on the lagoon near Marigot. It is not overcrowded like many of the resorts on the island, even during the islands high season.  They serve a fabulous buffet style breakfast every morning, and the restaurant is overlooking the lagoon.  Most the rooms overlook the lagoon as well. The spacious rooms are loft style, with a living area and kitchenette below, and bedroom in the upper loft space.  The hotel is just down the road from Marigot, and close to many great restaurants. This is a charming. cozy type of place and not a high end resort.
