I come from Charlottesville, VA, but I'm currently a grad student in the UK. I usually travel for study/research in the Mediterranean or for conferences/interviews in the US. I love affordable yet decent hotels close to the sights in historic cities.
December 15 2007: Probably the best view I've ever had from a hotel balcony - the pictures on their website are not lies! The room was decent inside and the rates were reasonable, but the best part about this place was the location. Only a short walk up the road is the archaeological site containing the temple to Apollo famous in antiquity for its oracle, with a good musem. There's also hiking on Mt. Parnassus (not for the faint of heart) and plenty of little restaurants in Delphi itself.
Acropole Delphi Hotel is a modern family-run property beautifully decorated in traditional style, located in a handy position near the archaeological site and museum. Although only one block from the city centre, Acropole Delphi Hotel is completely isolated from noise and traffic, whilst balconies boasts magnificent and uninterrupted views of the Gorge of Delphi and the olive groves of Itea. A bar, safety deposit boxes, Wi-Fi Internet connection, fax & post services, TV lounge, wake-up calls, 24-hour room service and a garden are also part of guests' services. Its excellent reputation, based on the personal attention and enthusiasm the management and staff devote to guests, will guarantee an unforgettable stay. Come and stay at the Acropole Delphi Hotel to find high-quality service in a warm and friendly setting! Acropole Delphi Hotel was fully renovated in 2006.
