This is the first review written about this hotelOctober 18 2007: We stayed at La Stampa for two nights on a weekend break to Dublin in late 2006 - the hotel seems actually be something of an afterthought to the hotel bar, which is huge, and needless to say, lively. The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet, and the hotel well located, about a 5 minute walk from the Liffey and St. Stephen's green, each roughly equidistant.

I'd recommend the hotel for the young and trendy crowd without a doubt, with it's eclectic modern theme, and busy nightlife (the bar was still going strong at 3AM), but would perhaps recommend that it isn't necessarily the place for families with children - we bore witness to at least one very frustrated couple who protested that they could hear the bar from their room - utterly believable.

So - while we were happy and comfortable, and had an excellent time, La Stampa almost certainly marginalizes those who merely want a good night's sleep.

Date of stay: October 2006
