Not a fan of the big hotel chains - more into the smaller locally-owned, boutique places to stay...
December 11 2007: This recently restored hotel in the French quarter of Pondicherry takes you back in time. There were only about 8 rooms with a beautiful courtyard. Value for money was amazing and the staff incredibly service-oriented and super friendly. It's located near restaurants and right near the main promenade. Upon arriving your greeted by staff with a smile and yummy hibiscus tea. Morning tea is included but it's more like a breakfast extravaganza. After several days of a South Indian breakfast, it was nice to have something a bit different... Don't get me wrong - I LOVE a good south indian breakfast but it was nice to have croissants, jam, oj...
The hotel is definitely on one of the more relatively quieter streets of Pondicherry. Highly recommended!
