July 25 2007: I stayed at the Grand Baja in 2005 and came away wanting more. This resort is located in San Jose del Cabo which is about 20 minutes away from the downtown Cabo San Lucas area. Therefore, if you are looking to be in the center of it all - know ahead of time that you are in the smaller city of San Jose. The great things included the spa - the massages were great. The bartenders were friendly and had great interactions with them. The pool and overall the resort was very clean.
The negative things included the not-so-nice staff, parts of the hotel were not completed and therefore many people were left with views of a torn/burnt down building and they only had one restaurant open.
Overall, this would be a great place to go if you were just looking for a location on the beach and a pool to relax by.
