Grand Acapulco

July 26 2007: Stayed at the Crowne in April 2006 during their peak season. Although the hotel was very crowded, I found that I didn't feel cramped or annoyed by the numbers of people there. The lobby bar was fabulous with wonderful bartenders and great music. The beach was wonderful and was very clean. Although, vendors can come up to a certain line of the beach - all the beach chairs are located behind this line. Location was fabulous with stores, restaurants and night clubs all within walking distance. Great views as our room was located on 26th floor. A few negatives included a lack of recently updated rooms, food was a little bland (buffet style) and the hotel does not allow guests or additional people to enter the room. Not sure if this was only during the 'spring break' time or not. Overall, great hotel in a great location for travelers of all types!
