December 5 2007: The Sheraton was fairly empty in late October, so we were upgraded to a club level room which offered a great view of the ocean. Good location, just a 10-15 minute walk from the center of Puerto Vallarta. Nice pools and overall well kept grounds. Tip - if you are not interested in the Sheraton time-share presentation, let them know at the bellstand and again at the front desk when you check-in. The hotel staff are not bashful to call you multiple times throughout the first couple of days pushing the guided tour of the timeshare units.

Location. Sheraton Buganvilias Resort and Conference Center, located in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, stands three kilometers from the Malecón. Marina Vallarta is positioned less than six kilometers from the hotel. Hotel Features. Nine dining venues include La Villita, a casual, ocean view eatery that features Sunday champagne brunch with mariachi music. Las Gaviotas prepares international cuisine while El Embarcadero serves tequilas and hosts nightly live music. A business center, high speed Internet access and conference space accommodate business or social gatherings. Recreational amenities include two outdoor pools, each containing a swim up bar and a shallow children's section. The resort also includes complimentary horseshoes, table tennis, and tennis on two lighted courts. Each of the Sheraton's two towers houses a health spa that offers massage, body treatments, facials and hair/nail care. The Suites Tower's spa contains saunas and steam rooms (fees apply), and a fitness room. Complimentary activities include pool aerobics, volleyball, and dance and Spanish lessons. Supervised activities for children ages 5 12 are available during the day.
Guestrooms. This resort offers 557 guestrooms, studios, and one bedroom suites in a 13 story Hotel Tower and a 15 story Suites Tower. Rooms located in the Hotel Tower include floor to ceiling, ocean view windows. Suites Tower rooms feature ocean view balconies and kitchenettes. All accommodations display tropical décor with white stucco walls, pale tile floors and bright fabrics.
Expert Tip. Close to the hotel, on the corner of Juarez and Leona Vicario, artisans can be seen forging copper, blowing glass, shaping ceramics and weaving textiles. Visitors are welcome to watch these craftspeople as they work.
