July 17 2008: This place might be a little tacky for some (very, very shiny) and the responsiveness of the staff is hit or miss. But you're in Panama and for a couple days' stay, it's entertaining. If you're in Panama City longer than a couple days, that's your own fault.

The casino in the hotel is one of the nicer ones I saw in Panama City, but it's definitely not Vegas. Not even Reno. But it's open and serves food all night long. There are also a couple of restaurants in the lobby, which aren't bad. My room was clean and nice, but I heard mixed reviews from other people there. The pool and spa area are pretty nice. The location is pretty convenient to many areas of interest in downtown Panama City.

There are probably nicer places to stay in Panama City, but all in all, this place is not a bad deal.

**One note of caution: the multitudes of attractive women hanging out in the lobby and casino are mostly prostitutes from Colombia. As a general rule, try to avoid eye contact with anyone in a miniskirt. Unless that's your thing, in which case you've come to the right place.
