November 20 2007: after wading through the wafts of smoke in the lobby one arrives at a room infused with more smoke to find the water comes out brown from the faucets for the first 5 minutes. inexpensive and gets the job done with a pillow and a mattress and a TV but not too enjoyable and not too close to the kremlin...

Location. The Novotel Moscow Centre is a modern 18 storey hotel located in the centre of Moscow; three kilometres from the Kremlin, Red Square and St Basil's Cathedral. Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport is 27 kilometres from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 60 minutes. Hotel Features.This modern hotel's facilities include a fitness centre, a relaxing massage treatment room, a 24 hour front desk with currency exchange, safe deposit boxes and dry cleaning services, and wireless Internet access is available throughout the property. The concierge can book sightseeing and theatre tickets, and business guests have access to six meeting rooms.
The Novotel Moscow Centre has a Mediterranean style restaurant and two bars, one of which is on the top floor of the hotel and offers views over the city.
Guestrooms.The 255 guestrooms are located on 18 floors and have modern decor in light shades. All include cable television, direct dial phones, complimentary wireless Internet access, hair dryers and minibars.
Expert Tip. Visitors to the city should make sure to visit Red Square, three kilometres from the hotel, home to St Basil's Cathedral with its colourful domes and spires and the historic Kremlin.
