Nice Hotel...Not So Great Location

Luxurious, Classic, Quiet, Cozy, Stylish

June 27 2007: Stayed here with the girlfriend for a few days while in southern California on Spring Break (wooooooooo! SB 05!! wooooo!!). The hotel was great and had a very boutique-y feel to it. Our room was cozy (a good cozy, not a cramped cozy), had decent amenities, and the bed was pretty good and big...could have fit 4 more.

Although we were looking for a quiet area of Manhattan beach, we didn't think it would be this far removed from the rest of the goings on of the area. It's a decent drive to anywhere you want to go, and if you want to walk to a beach or shopping area you've got to cross a few streets or a highway.

Lastly, they tried to charge me over $150 for ethernet when I checked out. After 10 minutes of arguing and the request for a manager the decimal was moved to the correct spot to $1.50, and they dropped it.

I'd recommend this hotel if you're in the area on business.
