This is the first review written about this hotelMay 19 2008: My favorite hotel in Palm Springs. My home away from home getaway. Love this hotel! I always request a lanai room which is poolside w/ incredible mountain views. Rooms are bright, clean and beds have comfy featherbeds. Plantation shutters. You are surrounded by mountains and desert. Beautiful lush gardens all around. Great staff that will cater to you 24/7. They have croquet - which is a blast. Golf course looks really nice and seems like the one to go to in the desert.

Interior design by Jonathon Adler. Hermes, Molton Brown bath products and for those who forget sunblock, they have include this for you as well in the bathroom - nice 'must have' amenity in the desert. Def have breakfast at Normas and the bright yellow striped cabana pool bar is fun with yummy cocktails. Food is very good but pricey in the one restaurant however if you dine in the finer restaurant , take notice of all of the great artwork. The indoor bar is gorgeous. 24 hour fitness center and complimentary valet parking. My favorite is the lounge with cozy cushions/seating and firepit! I have been here a few times but have never watched movies or much tv but they have a dvd library and I have no idea if it is any good.

Great hotel anytime of the year. Of course, it is hot in the summer but you can still enjoy the grounds and spa or better yet pump the ac and take a long siesta :) The rooms will make you wanna nap/lounge all day. I will def be going back here

*** I just checked out the hotel's pics on this website and the hotel really looks that great - actually better in person***

July 6 2008: My favorite hotel in Palm Springs and I stay here a few times a year. Weekend getaways for me usually entail spas, quiet time, great food/wine, being pampered and afternoon naps. I have gone here solo, with girlfriends and with my significant other and all the above is always achieved here. The grounds are beautiful. A glam stylish hotel. Staff goes above and beyond to make your stay the most enjoyable. It is quiet but on weekends the pool can be a bit crowded. The pool is lively with good music, good food and the drinks are pricey. Beds are very comfortable with soft linens, bright clean rooms. A well stocked mini bar and great bath products. Norma's cafe is great and expensive. The spa is wonderful with a great a spa menu. I have never had a bad experience here and I always recommend this hotel to my clients and friends.
