March 11 2008: Love the Viceroy Hotels. I have stayed at the Santa Monica location a few times and stayed in the Palm Springs location for a gal pal's birthday. 

The weekend we were there was very quiet but perfect. The pools are amazing and the grounds were perfectly manicured. Cabanas were cozy and very well shaded for the ones who do not want to soak up the rays.

The modern decor is stylishly hip and resembles old school Hollywood glamour.  Our room was black and white with yellow accents.....which was groovy. Beds were so - so.......

They have good little bath products and cozy oversized robes. We had a little balcony/patio which was nice for our morning coffee. 

 We dined in the restaurant, Citron and it was great - enjoyed the pools and some local shopping.

We really did not do anything but eat and lounge by pool and indulge in some tv. At the time they did not have pay per view and only had dvds to borrow from their own personal library, which was not very appealing. So bring your own dvds if you want to watch movies on your stay.

The gym was nice and the spa was beautiful but we did not indulge in any spa services. I don't remember what we paid for the room but I do remember it being very reasonable.

Nice little getaway with the gals.

June 14 2008: Checked in for some R & R. Nice, clean rooms. Spa is great. I love the old Hollywood glam decor. Friendly staff. Reasonable rates. The restaurant is small and intimate , good food. My favorite is the pool. Would recommend this hotel. I usually enjoy The Parker but I wanted to give this a try and I was pleased. A very different vibe from the LA/Santa Monica location.
