This is the first review written about this hotelApril 24 2008: Discovered this new "green" boutique hotel last year perusing one of my many travel review sites....A small hotel that is on Bush St , close to Union Square and the financial district. I am trying to become more eco -friendly everyday as well as converting my homes to 'green' so this hotel really inspired me and gave me some great ideas. And provided me with a wonderful slumber.

Lovely, cozy and quiet rooms styled in soothing green and beige tones. The bathrooms are very clean and have low flow faucets and toilets :) They provide yummy spa robes. My bed was incredibly comfortable w/ egyptian cottons and I was able to choose various styles of pillows. (just call housekeeping) To assist in conserving energy - lighting is controlled by key cards. They use chemical free cleaning products, which I really appreciate. I switched over to chem free cleaning products about two years ago so it was wonderful to come back to a serviced room without the smells of being "chemically clean" - no headaches :)

The hotel has wifi and a business center and an ipod docking station. Nice tv with dvd player and a large dvd library for your pleasure. A very small gym but for a nominal fee, you can go to a gym close by where guests of the hotel have privileges. But, really who needs and wants a gym when you have an incredible city to walk and explore right out front of the lobby. :)

I can not remember the name of the restaurant but it was great and they only use local organic foods and produce. It is a beautiful hotel and it has some great art displayed through out the hotel - from local artists.

The rooftop garden is beautiful and has some amazing views of the city. This hotel will be my hotel of choice every time I visit San Fran. I have stayed at Sir Francis, The Ritz and other smaller hotels in the city and I will add that this my favorite. Decent rates, clean and eco-friendly...good for you and our environment. Why not??

I can not wait to return to this little gem.

May 3 2008: A great eco-friendly hotel. I travel to San Fran frequently, I tend to forget about this cute little hotel. I was reminded again recently by my best friend who has left a more helpful review earlier. I had a last minute trip come up so I called them and they accomodated me immediately and accommodated an early check in, too.

Very clean and the beds are great. I am not very good at writing reviews but I would like to spread the word on this great eco hotel. The whole staff is friendly and helpful.

The restuarant is called "Roots" and it is fantastic and they serve organic food whenever possible. Quiet rooms and in a good location. The chemical free cleaning products is very refreshing since I, too have been convinced to transition to chem free products.

It's small boutique hotel with about 80 rooms and upon entrance you will be welcomed by a tranquil waterfall.

This hotel will be my first choice when I visiting San Fran.
