Bliss in Santa Barbara
Luxurious, Romantic, Rustic, Classic, Quiet, Scenic, Cozy, Beach, Spa, Honeymooners, Tourists
June 10 2007: The Four Seasons Biltmore is one of my favorite spots on earth!  The hotel is private and secluded and right on the beach with stunning views.  The hotel is fairly spread out so you don't notice how large the facility is.  The landscaping is clever and helps break up and hide the other buildings. The amenities are great- beautiful pool, great workout room and a fantastic spa.

The staff is exceedingly friendly and will do anything to make your stay perfect.  Every staff member says hello to all the guests- even the guys raking leaves.  The friendly staff makes you feel right at home.

Our room was large and spacious with a beautiful bathroom with colorful painted tiles.  They provide L'Occitane soap which I love.

The food is fantastic- first rate all the way.  The Sunday brunch is legendary- just fast prior to eating your way through it-you'll need the extra space in your tummy.

This hotel isn't' cheap but we found it to be well worth the splurge!

Best Luxury Hotel in Santa Barbara
Luxurious, Romantic, Classic, Historic, Quiet, Cozy, Stylish, Beach, Spa, Gourmets, Honeymooners
This is the first review written about this hotelOctober 13 2007: The Four Seasons Biltmore is the most luxurious hotel in Santa Barbara.

This historic hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood a short drive from downtown Santa Barbara. As you can expect from all Four Seasons' properties, the service is impeccable (all the staff say hello when they walk by), the rooms are large and well decorated, and the food is fantastic. The restaurant, front of the hotel and some rooms look out over the Pacific Ocean. The hotel sits on a fairly large property, but it has a private, cozy ambiance because it is well arranged into several smaller areas. There is a nice gym at the hotel with several cardio machines, some weight equipment and some free weights. The pool is not large, but very nice - the underwater speakers are a luxurious touch.

We stayed in a lower-mid priced room toward the back of the hotel. It didn't have a view of either the mountains or ocean, but it had a small walk in closet, beautiful bathroom, and very comfortable bed. If you are already paying for this kind of luxury I would spend a few extra bucks and get a mid-priced room or even a suite if money is not a constraint.

There are a few shops and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, but if you are looking for a lively, hotel with bars and restaurants nearby then look elsewhere. You will want to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet at the Biltmore.
