July 16 2008: This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in to date, with the most gracious and attentive service I've experienced. It's sort of off on its own location-wise, like much of LA, but talk about a pleasant place to stay. The only reason I didn't give this place a 5 rating is, well, it's freakin expensive.

November 20 2008: All the pictures of the cool lobby and eating areas were all on the mark, but once I arrived at my room, it all shattered.
My room was a throw-back to a Hollywood "modern" from the 50's. I wouldn't doubt if the furniture and beddings were still originals. It just felt shabby.
I would hope they have updated their rooms by now.
