July 21 2007: I stayed here for a night in early July 2007. The hotel is right on the ocean on Miami Beach.For the summer, they had a $50/night Monday and Tuesday night special (not sure if you can get that anymore), so for that price, it was a great deal.
The hotel has the feel of "a once very cool and great" hotel. You can feel that it hasn't been kept up as well as it used to be - the pool is a little green, the outside facilities are not as clean as you might expect. The rooms are clean though. The staff didn't seem like they cared all that much, but were ok.
The location is awesome - can't deny that. Close to nightlife, right on the beach.
Valet parking costs $30 so add that to the price. If you like Peruvian food, there's a place called Chalan on the Beach a few blocks over - it's excellent.
