June 15 2007: We visited this hotel in 2004 on our Honeymoon. Great trip. We stayed in a cottage overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Room was spacious and luxurious yet very simple and comfortable. Early morning rising (545am) for Yoga and walks and fresh catch of the day Benedict for breakfast. Then beach, hiking, and swimming. Lunch was by the pool with frozen drinks (the infinity pool is to die for with the view of the ocean...). Nap after frozen drinks and then it would be time to play games - scrabble, tennis, you name it - then dinner ( a few nights a week they do an event during dinner) - Food was fabulous. The owners also own the Post Ranch Inn (another gem). Spa service was fantastic. I think we went back, back and back. Nice little pitch and putt as well...
Highly recommend. Little advice, rent a car one day and drive around the Island, visit with the natives.
Remember at 5pm all visitors to Hana leave to go back to western (populated) Maui. It is at this time that you truly enter paradise.
P.S. Make sure you catch Pizza Night at the local restaurant.
