May 9 2008: The Water Tower is designed by French Architect Jean-Paul Viguier and it is one of my fav buildings in downtown Chicago. A sharp hotel in a great location close to many trendy boutiques, The Art Institute and Museum of Contemp Art.
The bar is hip and happening and the restaurant is very good. My room was large with two queen beds and bright. Loved the bed! Modern furnishings. A great view of the city and they have groovy blinds and drapes that open with just a tap of a switch. Large, very clean spacious bath with separate shower and tub and luxe robes. On my stay the lobby was dressed with beautiful dramatic floral arrangements that changed daily. Friendly and attentive staff. Cabs are plentiful here and the bell men snag you one immediately once you walk outside.
My only complaint here is that I did not have any cell service in my room and had to use the landline a few times which was a bit costly.
A wonderful stay.

I have no time or money to travel. My ideal vacation is visiting friends and crashing on their couch and eating their food. It just seems like home when you are with someone you love!!
