Great Boutique Hotel in Boston- One block from Newbury
Luxurious, Romantic, Classic, Historic, Cozy, Shopping, Sightseeing, Business People, Tourists
This is the first review written about this hotelJune 10 2007: The Eliot Hotel was recommended by a friend of mine and I am so glad that I found out about it.

From the second you walk into the hotel you notice is classic decor.  Nothing trendy, just a warm, classic feel.  It is an older hotel that has been renovated, but there is some old charm left.

My room was beautiful- toile curtains and bedspread.  My only complaint about the room was that the bathroom was a bit small.

I ordered room service which was a bit slow, but not a big deal.  Clio, the hotel  restaurant is supposed to be the best sushi in town, but I decided to go to Newbury Street instead, which was only a block away.

I loved the boutique feel of this classic hotel and would recommend it to anyone who was in Boston for work or play who isn't interested in staying at a convention center but still wants to be in the center of the Back Bay.

Classy hotel, great location
Boutique, Classic, Quiet, Stylish, Shopping
June 24 2008: I stayed here for a recruiting event thrown by a consulting firm.  This is a fantastic hotel, right around the corner from Newbury Street in Boston, the best shopping street in town.  There's also a world class sushi restaurant in adjacent to the hotel, which is a bit pricy but super delicious.

You won't be disappointed here.

Boston's Best
Hip, Historic
June 19 2007: While the Eliot is expensive its not overpriced.  This updated boutique hotel provides understated elegance and great service without being stogy.  The hotel is located on Commonwealth Ave, steps from great restaurants, shops and Beacon Hill.  While the restaurants, Clio and Uni Sashimi Bar are expensive enough to make the hotel seem like a bargin, they are arguable two of Boston's finest.  If you are coming to Boston for a getaway weekend the Eliot is a no-brainer.
